Advocacy and Regulatory Track

Federal, state, and local government regulations change rapidly and impact your ability to deploy wireless infrastructure--both positively and negatively. PCIA is the industry advocate throughout all levels of government and maintains a broad view of how different regulatory systems interrelate. Federal action, such as court decisions and the FCC’s Shot Clock and National Broadband Plan release, are intertwining with increasingly active and involved state and local governments to create a mounting and changing regulatory environment for wireless infrastructure deployment. Understanding these issues and how they impact your business is instrumental to your success. DAS Track

Increasingly, wireless carriers are leveraging the coverage and capacity capabilities of Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) for indoor and outdoor applications. DAS helps solve wireless coverage issues at the street level in dense urban areas, along key routes in residential areas, inside large buildings and throughout sensitive environments. In this track, you will hear from the experts on the advantages of these systems and learn of the barriers to DAS from economic, technological, and cultural standpoints.
