PCIA is pleased to announce that Magnus Ojert, Vice President, Deployment & Operations at Ericsson, will give a keynote address at The 2010 Wireless Infrastructure Show. Magnus has been a part of the telecommunications industry for over 22 years. In his present role as Vice President, Deployment & Operations for Ericsson, Magnus is responsible for supporting Verizon in meeting their LTE launch objectives as well as deploying recently acquired Nortel equipment into Verizon’s CDMA networks. Magnus spent 12 years at Nextel and Sprint Nextel in various domestic and international executive technical positions. His last role prior to joining Ericsson was Vice President of National Deployment and Operations of their Wimax network. Magnus has also spent time as the Chief Operating Officer for Berliner Communications. Berliner Communications is a vertically integrated site development, engineering and construction company focused on telecommunications. Magnus began his professional career with Motorola as the business unit manager in their Network Services area. Magnus holds a Bachelor of Science in economics and finance from the University of Scranton and received his Masters degree in international finance from Seton Hall University.
Kevin P. Jones, Global 4G Evangelist at Intel Corporation, to Deliver Keynote at The 2010 Wireless Infrastructure Show
PCIA is pleased to add Kevin P. Jones, Global 4G Evangelist at Intel Corporation, to its roster of Keynote speakers for The 2010 Wireless Infrastructure Show. Kevin holds the position of Global 4G Evangelist at Intel Corporation. In this role, he leads Intel's efforts to communicate the 4G mobile broadband value proposition to service providers and enterprises around the world. Prior to Intel, Kevin was the Vice President and General Manager of the Mobile Business Unit at Spectel (acquired by Avaya in 2004). Prior to Spectel, Kevin was the Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Groove Mobile (acquired by NMS Communications). Kevin also held a number of senior management positions at Nokia, including General Manager, Wireless Data and Vice President, Nokia Ventures. Kevin has also held senior level marketing, sales and engineering positions at Sun Microsystems and Hewlett-Packard. A frequent speaker at industry events, Kevin has presented on a wide variety of topics in computer architecture and data communications. Kevin holds degrees in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from California State University. Clearwire CTO Dr. John Saw To Deliver Keynote
Dr. John Saw, CTO of Clearwire, will be delivering a keynote address at The 2010 Wireless Infrastructure Show. As Clearwire's senior vice president - chief technology officer, John Saw, Ph.D., is the chief architect of the company's advanced wireless network infrastructure and technology, designed to deliver true wireless broadband performance in a mobile environment. Dr. Saw brings nearly 20 years of experience developing wireless networks and architectures to Clearwire, including pioneering work in the development and rollout of TDMA, GSM, CDMA and fixed wireless cellular infrastructure and microwave products. In addition, he was instrumental in developing AT&T Wireless' digital wireless broadband product, one of the earliest OFDM-based wireless systems deployed that foreshadowed the subsequent development of the WiMAX 802.16 standards. Prior to assuming his current role, Saw served as Clearwire's vice president of engineering since joining the company as its second employee. Before Clearwire, Saw held key engineering and technology executive positions with Netro Corp (now SR Telecom), AT&T Wireless (now AT&T Inc.), and Nortel. Saw also holds five U.S. patents in wireless technologies. |
